My heart if full and a bit tender today. Here are pictures from our last few days with David. We dropped him off at the MTC yesterday. I know he will be a wonderful missionary. He will spread God's Word and Love to the people in Portland. If I didn't have a testimony of this work, I could never let him go.
Getting Ready
Some neighbor boys made this Elder and brought it over for David. So cute! |
Lots of white shirts! |
Stuff.... |
and more stuff. |
Stowaway! |
Poor kid, his heart was broken when he found he really wasn't going. |
Last Pictures
These two just had to get in some last antics. They won't be together again until Jonathan gets home from HIS mission in the summer of 2016.
And Mary will just beat David home by a few months. She leaves in April.
He may be an elder, but he's still a younger brother. Stealing and trying on Deborah's (much smaller!) coat.
One of the only 2 girls his age he can still hug. |
Let's see, what words of wisdom can I share with you? Um, I love you!
Work hard out there. When times get too hard, just remember to breathe, in and out. And pray, yeah, that's good, too.
Final Good byes at the MTC
It went really fast. We were there, and then he was gone.
